Arlo
Treat Quality Control Manager
Arlo is a wild golden retriever puppy who takes his role at Her Campus Media very seriously. All new snacks must be QA’ed by him before they are deemed safe to eat, though if nothing is left after his thorough QA process, don’t be surprised. His favorite activities include swimming in the pond, wrestling with his sister, Freyja, and acting like a complete goofball.
Bagheera
Senior Manager of Being a Majestic Regal Queen
Bagheera is the first to occupy the key role of Senior Manager of Being a Majestic Regal Queen, a newly-created position crafted specifically for her unique capabilities. Before coming to Her Campus Media, Bagheera spent her time outdoors as a rescue dog from Arkansas, but she has adapted easily to suburban living and now enjoys spending her evenings on a faux fur blanket atop a leather couch. An expert negotiator, Bagheera will incessantly put her paw on you until you give her what she wants, which has resulted in a 100% YOY increase in time spent petting dogs at Her Campus Media. Though she is the sister of Chief Chewing Officer Yeti, Bagheera desires to make it clear that she received no special treatment in the interview process and earned her role at Her Campus Media entirely based on merit.
Callie
VP of Tails
In her role as the Pawfect Sales Assistant, Callie spends her days lounging on her bed on camera while her dog mom takes daily calls with Her Campus Media clients and brand partners. Always one to inspire a smile or laugh, Callie is an expert in knowing how to charm on and off camera. Callie also spends time at the HCM HQ running around, playing with friends, and going for walks around Fenways.
Follow her @calliethebernie.
Carter
Director of Vibes
Carter, like his name-sake Jay Z, takes his job as the first Director of Vibes of Her Campus to heart. You can typically find this 12.5 lb former street dog from Puerto Rico laying on his mom's bed trying to catch every ray of sunshine while taking up as much space as possible. Also like Jay Z, he now prefers the finer things in life such as bacon, Ugg blankets, and high thread count bedding, however he still can't resist the food he finds on the street. He loves to snuggle with everyone he meets and take long morning walks where he can charge at pigeons.
Eloise (Elle)
Head of Toy Research + Development
Eloise, like the Plaza often goes by Elle, as in Woods. She's a whole year old, making her a quarantine baby! Elle absolutely adores toys--every type, from balls, to squeakers, to plushies, to ropes, to brown paper bags. When she's not playing with toys (and things that aren't toys!) she's staring out of the window, keeping the neighborhood safe and secure. Eloise adores peanut butter and aged parmesan that falls to the floor.
Freyja
Chief Security Officer
Freyja is a Lab/German Shepherd mix that was adopted as a pup after she moved up to chilly New York from Virginia. She enjoys chewing up socks, playing "catch me outside,” and rolling herself in as many blankets as possible to form the ultimate "pupperito.” Freyja is Her Campus Media’s self-appointed Chief Security Officer. Any stranger who even thinks about walking in front of her perch by the window is in for a rude awakening as she barks and barks until they pass. Visitors will get a thorough sniff-down until she is satisfied that they haven't recently pet any cats. Rumor on the street is that the mail lady has managed to bribe Freyja with Milk-bones, but let's not let that affect her professional integrity. When she takes the rare hour off, Freyja can be found stealing pretzels at the local brewery or swimming at the beach.
Hudson
Director of Belly Rubs
Hudson is a sweet Golden Retriever full of energy, kisses and smiles. As Director of Belly Rubs, he covers all territories and is constantly searching for new prospects to rub his tummy. Hudson loves playing catch at the beach and chasing around his friends at the park. He loves meeting new people and will never turn down a treat!
Maverick
Senior Associate of Cuteness
Maverick, originally from Arkansas, is an Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever/Staffordshire Terrier (and several other breeds) mix. As a Senior Associate of Cuteness, Maverick has some very serious responsibilities that include begging for attention, sneaking treats, and chewing on his favorite toy. He loves attending the events that Her Campus puts on, especially the ones that involve snacks. He also loves making new friends and taking long walks with his family, especially at the beach.
Milo
Director of Cuddle Operations
Milo is a sweet lab, boxer, red-heeler mix hailing from Oklahoma who takes his job as HCM's Director of Cuddle Operations very seriously. He is responsible for ensuring all members of Fur Campus feel connected as a team and that new hires have a buddy to guide them through their first days and months at the company. When he's not earning his title sitting on mom's lap or following her around the house, Milo can be found barking at anything that moves, trying to sneak a bite of whatever's cooking in the oven or chewing his bone (assuming he has successfully taken it away from his boss and sister Zuri).
Princess
Head of Self-Care Department
As the founder of the self-care department, Princess takes rest and relaxation very seriously at Her Campus Media. A typical day in her rigorous life includes sleeping, napping, resting, and sun bathing. Her role also includes quality control, ensuring each blanket in her household is cuddle safe and no person comes within 10 feet of her family. She is known for being a viral internet meme, owner of the greatest pink stroller in South Florida, and (to her knowledge) being the largest dog in the world – at 5.2 pounds. At 12 years old, she lost her ability to walk. While she was okay with her new rest and relaxation regimen, she gave her family the surprise of their lives and started walking again in early 2021. Princess is proud to join the HCM team as a fast, active mover again.
Strummer
Senior Associate of Sock & Slipper Theft
Strummer, named after the late and great Joe Strummer, is a Border Terrier puppy and the Senior Associate of Sock & Slipper Theft at Her Campus. His penchant for soft footwear isn't his only asset - he can also bark at nothing, and lift both hind legs when he poops. Incidentally, he hates loud music and is terrible at guitar.
Yeti
Chief Chewing Officer
As Chief Chewing Officer, Yeti has built, developed, and scaled the company's chewing operations and led its expansion into new categories such as pillows and shoes. A rescue dog originally from Texas, Yeti makes a point to take advantage of Boston's cooler climate and when not at work can often be found romping around in the snow or dunking in the muddiest body of water possible. He is vigilant about protecting his home from assailants such as the mailman, Amazon delivery man, and any and all cyclists, runners, and walkers who may pass the house throughout the day, whom he fends off with his loud, abrasive bark. But under his tough exterior, Yeti is in fact a sweetheart who loves to cuddle and lick.
Zuri
Vice President of Cuddle Operations
Zuri is a born leader whose Pitbull-mix bloodline is often intimidating to others but deep down she's the perfect person for the role of Vice President of Cuddle Operations at HCM. In this leadership role, Zuri oversees and determines the Cuddle Operations team strategy and works closely with her direct report and brother Milo to set the tone for positive team morale. When she's not giving Milo a new assignment or wrestling him when he misses a deadline, Zuri loves to sit on her parents' lap (especially during thunderstorms) and climb on all of the furniture.
Binx
Office Plant Supervisor
At only 8 months old, Binx has climbed through the ranks at HCM due to his keen interest in all things off-limits, especially the plants. His main responsibilities are making sure they have been watered by licking the dirt and tending to the leaves with a little nibbling. He is a cuddly American Short-Hair rescue and is loving the WFH lifestyle this year!
Finn
Associate Meeting Crasher
Finn is a super talkative orange cat! He's full of energy and meows and is a true cuddler. As an Associate Meeting Crasher, he is constantly learning more about Google Hangouts and how to effectively crash a meeting. In his free time, you can catch Finn staring out the window stalking birds and squirrels or taking a nap in one of his many cat towers!
Koda
Chief Purr-fection Officer
As Chief Purr-fection Officer, Koda specializes in making sure all systems are running smoothly at Her Campus Media. She is an expert water-tester and toy chaser, and she demands the attention of everyone when she enters the room (or video call). Koda loves going on adventures in her backpack and sleeping the day away in the sunniest chair of her apartment (after she finishes all of her very important work, of course). In her free time, you can find her attempting to traverse her mom's bookshelf and hiding amongst her indoor jungle.
Paisley
Associate Vice President, Indecisiveness
As the AVP of Indecisiveness, Paisley excels at changing her mind on key decisions, frequently demanding to go in and out of any room whose door is closed every few minutes, especially the bedroom many times throughout the night. Her other strengths include alerting you as soon as her food bowl is no longer entirely full and meowing until you fill it more, being a tough but firm manager to her direct reports Yeti and Bagheera, and lounging luxuriously on any and all soft surfaces throughout the house. She does her best work sprawled across a desk directly behind the laptop with her tail on the keyboard.
Willow
Associate Director of Zoomies
As the Associate Director of Zoomies, Willow is responsible for coordinating and managing energy outbursts across all departments at Her Campus Media. At just 8 months old, she developed a strategic Zoomies schedule to help the team reach maximum playtime efficiency (wake up, eat breakfast, zoom, nap). When she's not working, you can find Willow snoozing in one of her many beds, playing with her favorite toys (affectionately named Rat and Mousey), and chewing on any string in sight.
Diamond
Sea-E-O
Diamond Western is the newest member of the Mer Campus family but certainly does not feel like a fish out of water in her role as Sea-E-O. While it seems a bit fishy that Mer Campus has never had a Sea-E-O before, things are going swimmingly and she’s doing a fintastic job, just ask the finterns.
Diamond likes to live by her motto “Any fin possible” and can’t wait to guide Mer Campus revenue into the tens of krill-ions. When asked about how she feels about her newest role, Diamond replied that “It doesn’t get any betta than this.”
The Finnies
Finterns
Sunny, Strawberry and the Quintuplets joined the Her Campus Media family in 2021 as the first ever class of finterns! They are looking forward to a rewarding finternship where they hope to take a deep dive into the media findustry.
Their main responsibilities include ensuring the team is up on current events, floating their genius ideas by their supervisor, and ultimately scaling up our net revenue. Although they are having a fintastic time, the life of a fintern is not all sun and sand. When they're feeling like fish out of water, they remind themselves of their favorite motto from their mentor, Dory: "just keep swimming!"
The Finnies would like to tank Her Campus Media for this wonderful oppurtunaty!
Lucas
Senior Associate of Zoomies
After a tough puppyhood on the mean streets of New York City, Lucas was rescued and found his forever home. As Senior Associate of Zoomies, Lucas has the energy to run around the house barking orders and finishing the tough meals in one bite! As seriously as Lucas takes his job, he's serious about making time for self-care naps. Though the streets made him a tough boy, he loves licking his family and everything in sight! Even though Lucas is a senior, he's a pup at heart <3
Moose
Head of Welcome Committee
As Head of Welcome Committee, Moose is integral to enthusiastically welcoming all new friends to Her Campus Media. He, and his breed, are known for the Wheaten Greetin', so it is literally in his blood. When he is not meeting new people and pets — and giving them a lot of kisses — he enjoys sleeping 18+ hours a day. Another common past time is looking out his favorite window at the dog park below his apartment — he calls it Dog TV. Follow him @moose.the.wheaten.
Evie
Executive Director of Corporate Snuggles
There is no challenge or cat tree too tall for Evie to tackle. When she's not scratching up every single piece of furniture in our house, you might find her sleeping, finding cover when the doorbell rings, or doing one of her many tricks (yes, she can high five on command!) She has a lot of opinions, so expect to hear her screaming in the background of 95% of calls.
Josie
Senior Director of Lounging
Don't be fooled into thinking Josie is slacking on the job if you see her curled up on the couch during the work day. She takes her role as Senior Director of Lounging very seriously. Josie is a pro at what she does. She can fit herself into any soft space and she is not deterred by someone else already occupying said soft space. She believes that there is room for all- which can be problematic as she will sit on top of you if you are in her way, and she does weigh 80 pounds. Josie strives to remind us all that sometimes you just have to lay on your couch in the fetal position for a few minutes. Her most recent and most pressing project at the moment is QAing every pillow in the house to ensure maximum comfort.
Mac & Eve
HCM Members at Cuddle University
As HCM Members at Cuddle University, Mac & Eve, take pride in working towards obtaining their Masters in Zoomies. Mac has decided to minor in communication as he is always willing to tell you whats on his mind. He takes his morning, afternoon, & evening scream sessions very seriously. Eve has taken on a minor in culinary in hopes of being able to try every type of food she can set her eyes on. She is eager to join Spoon University for cats to taste & make every type of gourmet meal. When they're not snuggled up together on the couch/bed/window hammock, you can find them chasing each other around the apartment as this is one of the requirements to obtain their Masters in Zoomies. Their favorites toys include string & plush mice & they like to dabble in catnip. They are a dynamic duo!
Henry Jones
Head of Sniffing & Snacking
Henry Jones is a beagle at heart, mixed with a dachshund. His instincts are to sniff everything on the ground, find all crumbs, and eat all the snacks he can find. He was rescued from a tornado in Oklahoma, so he is a scrappy fighter in life. He has lived in Chicago, NYC and LA and has a specialty for finding crumbs and snacks on the busy streets in big cities. He is training to start a sniffing program for college campus pups!
Duke
Senior Manager of Emotional Support
Duke takes his supportive role at this company very seriously, barely takes any time off from requiring emotional support. Whether it's laying his head on your lap, pawing you for pet pets, or bringing a bone to chew while resting on your foot, he is always on duty. When he's not reminding you to provide emotional support (very rarely), he is napping right next to you so you'll always know where he is (just in case you were wondering).
Duke originally started at Her Campus as a Security Officer due to his loud, deep bark but his scary facade quickly melted whenever anyone got close enough to lick and give pets. He also ran away whenever the mailman brought boxes around (in his defense, they're really scary!) so he transitioned into Emotional Support.
His role ensures that all employees, specifically his owner, are always providing the utmost care and vigilance to him, and sometimes their job too. If employees don't take their responsibilities seriously, Duke is not afraid to deliver just punishment by stealing socks and digging holes in backyards.
At 1.5 years old, Duke is excited to make Emotional Support at Her Campus his career!
Miley
Director of Security
Miley spends her days assessing squirrels and their close proximity to her home and workspace. She's a thorough watch dog whose hearing excels. On breaks she thrives at sitting in the hottest sunniest spot there is. Her shift ends at 8pm every day which promptly turns into lap climbing time.
Rico
Creative Director of Sweatpea Services
Meet Rico, our talented and charismatic Creative Director of Sweatpea Services! With an impressive background in tennis ball retention and cozy vibe development, Rico brings a unique blend of creativity and pawsitivity to our team. Adopted from the streets of Puerto Rico, Rico's journey exemplifies resilience and determination, inspiring us all to reach for the treats of success. Rico volunteers his free time digging huge holes on the beach and supporting his emotionally dependent parents.
Bobbie
Editor-In-Sleep
Bobbie lives for gossip and celeb news. If you ask her about her opinions on Sophie Turner, she will talk your ear off for hours about her love for 'Game Of Thrones.' However, she is not a workaholic and tends to sleep on the job. We understand, though. Listening to Kurtis Conner's Very Really Good Podcast and anything H3 is exhausting, as she catches up on the latest TikTok drama. Outside of work, you can catch her terrorizing the neighborhood children for laughing and/or expressing joy, practicing the Fushigi, and writing the next Great American Novel.
Benjamin
Wagvertising Executive
Meet Benjamin, our beloved Wagvertising Executive. With over 17 years of experience in the world of canine charisma, Benjamin brings a unique blend of charm, enthusiasm, and unparalleled cuteness to our marketing team. In brainstorming sessions, Benjamin's unique perspective often leads to out-of-the-box marketing ideas. His "barkstorming" sessions are legendary, and he's not afraid to offer a friendly woof of approval (or disapproval) for proposed strategies.
Wrigley
Manager of *Ice* Tax Collections
Wrigley is a mini golden retriever (yes, that’s really a thing), but don’t let her sweet eyes and petite appearance fool you. She takes her role as Manager of *Ice* Tax Collections very seriously. All employee trips to the snack kitchen come with a fee. No ice for Wrigley = No snacks for her direct report Danielle.
When she’s off the clock, Wrigley enjoys frolicking in the snow ❄️, roughhousing with her dog cousins 🐶 and watching any TV show that has horses 🐴
Remi
Director of Sassy Services
Remi might only be one year old but that doesn't mean she isn't incredibly qualified to be the Director of Sassy Services. Remi has learned a lot in her first year of dog-hood and one thing she has learned is to be an expert in giving side eye (and amazing snuggles). When Remi isn't lounging on her Casper dog bed or being given belly rubs, she is staring down her mom until she stops working and comes to play with her. On top of her sass expertise, Remi also excels in zoomies (an ode to her herding dog roots). If you see Remi on the street, she will be running up to you to say hi and make a new friend. First she's sweet and then she's (a little) sassy.
Clara
Vice-President, Bird Watching
As the Vice-President of Bird Watching, Clara is in charge of making sure all employees of Purr Campus are protected from any work distractions that may reside outside of your office space. You can usually find her at your window making her presence known to any potential distractions so that you can get your work done. Clara does the hard job of staring out the window for 6-8 hours during the day to keep everyone safe from the multitude of birds that could interrupt a successful workday. When she's off the clock (and sometimes on the clock), Clara likes to tuck herself under the blanket in the "guest bedroom" which is really just her bedroom, or attack anyone's unsuspecting feet.
Lulu
Supervisor, Social Meow-dia
Lulu takes her role as HCM’s Social Meow-dia Supervisor very seriously. She begins each morning by meowing as loud as she can at 7:00 a.m. sharp, ensuring her coworker is awake and ready for work. She then proceeds to follow her coworker around for the day, guaranteeing maximum productivity. Lulu loves few things more than drinking from the sink and treats (she’ll even sit on command for one). When she’s not working you can find her curled up for a nap in one of her two favorite places; her comfy bed or on the bathroom counter next to her coworker’s skincare collection.
Follow Lulu on Instagram @lucindalouisethecat
Luna
Manager, Company Morale
Luna shows up to work ready to serve looks and sass every single day. She takes her role seriously, and makes sure she is all up in everyone's business as often as possible. She is OOP 90% of the time for naps and snacks, but when she's in, she's giving it her all. She loves to make an appearance in Zoom calls and often tries to send out very strongly-worded Slacks (full of gibberish).
Charlie
Senior Sock Correspondent
Missing socks? Charlie is the one for the job! No task is too big for this 15-pound pup- he's also keen on finding slippers, hair ties, or even that shirt you lost 6 months ago that turned out to be underneath the bed. He'll even go one step further to investigate the damage, which requires a thorough sniff and chew (company protocol). After a hard morning's work, Charlie will take a well-needed 3-hour lunch break, then a 4-hour nap break before taking a 2-mile zoomie around the apartment. Life's tough for this hardworking Mini Golden Doodle, but someone's gotta do the job!
The Mushy
VP, Client Purrvices
As a feline on our executive team, Mushy has clawed his way to the top, earning the title of VP, Client Purrvices. With his unparalleled genius for attention management, Mushy excels in making every visitor feel like they are the most important person in the room, whether they are human or otherwise. Known affectionately as Mushy by friends and colleagues, his given name, Elliot, was inspired by the famously hot-headed and immature-for-an-adult detective Elliot Stabler from Law and Order: SVU, circa 2012. While Mushy may protect the house valiantly, he’s really just a big baby deep down.
At work, his innovative approach to client satisfaction is unrivaled—no stranger is too strange for Mushy, who immediately identifies them as his newest best friend. No client call is too important or too serious for him to make an appearance on, always trying his best to type out his ideas with his paws, even while his human attempts to stifle his creative genius.
As a cat in a dog-dominated field, Mushy has shown that true leadership comes from the heart.
