Diversity, equity, and inclusion are foundational values at Her Campus Media. They are critical to our goal of creating the best workplace for each and every one of our employees to thrive, as well as fulfilling our company mission of serving all college women.

Our commitment to DEI exists across and impacts a broad range of company operations and culture, including creating content and executing programs and partnerships that reflect our values; investing in inclusion-building initiatives, observances and celebrations; offering ongoing DEI learning and education opportunities to staff; continually optimizing and following hiring best practices to build a diverse and vibrant team; crafting corporate policies that promote flexibility and meet the needs of our team members as unique individuals, and more. Mental Health

We believe it is critical to support our team's mental health as well as to show up for our audience in this way. Through our flexible remote work policies, time off given for mental health, free One Medical and Health Advocate memberships for all team members, fitness and wellness perks such as free spin classes and virtual yoga and meditation staff events, ongoing partnership with Active Minds, and more, our team's mental health comes first in our book.

WELLNESS

As a fully remote company, we understand that working remotely intersects many aspects of life, which is why we take great pride in providing additional wellness benefits to our employees to create a more supportive work life environment.  We offer our employees TalkSpace, a 12-month membership for virtual therapy, with additional self-guided and interactive courses for mental wellness.  We provide the option to enroll in Gympass Membership to engage in a healthy lifestyle of movement, wellness and physical activity to local gyms and virtual on-demand classes.  Our approach to wellness is holistic beyond benefits as we also incorporate company events, learnings and workshops to support wellness such as Resilience & Adaptivity, Redefining Success at work to manage overwhelm and more!

Supporting Working Parents

We provide a supportive environment for working parents, so they can continue to flourish in their careers while also being present for their families. We offer 15 weeks of parental leave for employees and an additional 2 weeks of transition period fully paid for all genders, and are extremely accommodating for lactating individuals during work hours remotely where nursing or pumping throughout the day is completely supported. Not just for new parents, but for all parents, we provide a family-friendly culture that is highly flexible and supports team members' scheduling needs and constraints for school dropoffs/pickups, doctor's appointments, and more.

Fur Campus

Many of our team members have fur babies as well! Our office is dog-friendly, and of course animals of all sorts are always invited (and encouraged) to join video meetings. Need to walk your dog, head to a vet appointment, or anything else during the day sometimes? No problem. Our "Fur Campus" team members are highly valued members of our team—learn more about them here.
